Did you know boredom is a tool? And according to scientists, boredom is good for you! Next time the kids say they are bored, tell them to look closely. When we start to look for something more interesting, things that were once boring can present themselves in a new light...with greater details. Think of a fiddlehead unfurling, a limestone that contains shimmering mica, a stream...with tadpoles and crayfish.

And if the boredom continues, ask what it feels like. What does it feel like in your mind and in your body? The answers might just allow a pathway into greater creativity.
